VGA Extender: Transmits a single video signal over Cat5 cable to long distances
A VGA Extender transmits video signals between the video source and the display device. The signals can be extended over a range of 950 feet over Cat5/5e/6 cables eliminating the need to use bulky video cables. This extension device consists of two units – local and remote which are connected to the computer and the display device respectively ensuring rapid delivery of signals. Also known as VGA boosters or video baluns, these devices have the ability to increase the signal strength and provide output without signal degradation.
Available in a variety of models such as the VGA splitter extender, Cat5 VGA Audio/Video extender, they transmit signals up to 1900 x 1200 and provide the sharpest and clearest images. Inputs for composite and S-Video can be supported by the Cat5 VGA Extender using video converters. Compatible with almost any operating system, these extenders are easy to set up with plug and play technology and do not require any drivers in order to be operational. These devices are powered using the included 12V power supplies. Other models available include the 2, 4 or 8 port splitter extender and can have optional stereo audio, infra red or RS232 control.

This extender is also available in a wireless format offering the benefits of the VGA over Cat5 Extender without any cables.
