Himfr.com reports ARM Release 2GHz dual-core processor, Challenges Intel
ARM today announced that, based on TSMC’s 40nm-G manufacturing process, has developed two new Cortex-A9 microarchitecture dual-core processor designs, corresponding to high-performance and low power consumption. Its high-performance version of the ARM processor, the frequency will raise the ceiling to more than 2GHz.
ARM’s vice president of marketing Eric Schom said this performance will win over the new processors Intel’s Atom family of processors in the same power under the Cortex-A9 MPCore’s performance is 5 times the Atom.
