Google talk is a web-based application for voice over Internet protocol and instant messaging. This is a free window service offered to you. The program was first introduced on the 24th of August, 2005.

4) Advantage of mobile messaging clients: The Google talk clients are available only for Microsoft Windows, but the mobile clients are in an advantageous position. They are available for the iPhone, Android, Palm Pre and Blackberry devices.

The introduction of mobile instant messaging is a breakthrough done by Google. Mobile Instant Messaging or MIM is the device that helps Instant Messaging Services. You can access it from a cellular device and use a normal Cell Phone, Blackberry, an iPhone or an Android device. There are two ways for mobile instant messaging. One is the Embedded Clients and the other is the Clientless Platform. The Embedded Clients have IM clients for each specific device. The Clientless Platform is an application based on browser to the mobile where you are not required to download the software to your handset. You can connect yourself to instant messaging services from all networks. You can use any device and can start enjoying the facilities of Google talk on mobile.
