Windows 7 x64 with HP DV5000 Laptop(AMD Turion 64 and 1.5 GB ram)?
Just installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate onto my HP DV5030 laptop(DV5000 series). It is up and running fine. Had to hop through hoops to get the sound card to work. My issue now is that the my external usb Hard Drive is not detected whenever I plug it in. Flash drives work just fine. I check the device manager and I can see that the Mass Storage Controller driver is missing. I've checked HP's site for the driver. Cannot find one. Can anyone point me in the right direction. All I need is a driver.
I've already checked HP's website. Nada. I have also let Windows Update try to find an appropriate driver. Nada.
You will need to go to the manufacturers website and see if they have a driver you can install on your computer that will work with Windows 7 then you should be up and running.
