my acer 5220 does not recognise the HDD after a crash. When it does, the DVD/CDRW is malfunctioningHelp me?
When I switch to IDE mode in the BIOS settings, the HDD works fine but when I switch to AHCI mode, my laptop does not boot up. Still, only the HDD works properly whilst in the IDE mode, the DVD/CDRW cannot read from discs.
dont confuse with hdd and dvd drive. in bios the hdd should be in ide mode only. ur cdrw/dvd is not working means check it separately. may be it it problem. kardevi143@yahoo.co.in
